The headline we all knew was coming! Metallica are finally bringing the M72 World to Australia & New Zealand in 2025!
After the cancellation of 2019's tour with Slipknot. This will mean it'll have been 12 long years sing the greatest metal band on earth last played here during Soundwave of 2013. Will it be no repeat weekends like they've been playing this past year on the M72 world tour or will it be career a defining setlist being it has been over a decade since they were last here.
I still have the core memory of Sydney's Big Day Out in 2004 with the lightning storm rolling in as they took the stage. That night will forever go down as the greatest show I've ever been to.
Joining them on M72’s 2025 Australia shows will be Evanescence and Suicidal Tendencies! Evanescence have just celebrated the anniversary for breakthrough record Fallen. While Suicidal Tendencies will have crowds fired up with hardcore legend Mike Muir leading the charge. Both bands have recently crushed their own Australian tours so will be fitting to open the night for this tour.
This leg of the M72 World Tour will see the band visit stadiums in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. These dates will feature Metallica performing at the end of each stadium and will include the infamous Snake Pit extending from the front of the stage.
