Colletto Bianco release new single!

The fusion of rock and pop, coupled with distinctive cinematic flair, instills a sound reminiscent of a major motion picture soundtrack

While the alternative/hardcore powerhouse that is Endless Heights has had a low profile the past couple of years, we have been given a slew of new projects featuring members of the band. We all know of the aggressive and passionate Speed, who have skyrocketed to the world stage in what seems like no time at all, proving themselves to be one of the most important hardcore bands in the world right now. But we also have not one, but two projects from frontman Joel Martorana. I feel as if some people may have overlooked Peace Ritual and the audacious solo endeavour that is Colletto Bianco.

I was captivated by the first two tracks released last year, which really impressed me with the innovative direction he was heading. The fusion of rock and pop, coupled with distinctive cinematic flair, instills a sound reminiscent of a major motion picture soundtrack. Interesting instrumental arrangements featuring drums, bass, and expansive brass sections, all adorned by Martorana's unique and powerful vocal delivery that we've come to cherish from his days with Endless Heights. Joel’s vocal prowess increasingly shines on these tracks, showing us he has merely scratched the surface of what he can do with his voice.

So now about 18 months have passed, and he has given us the latest offering Last Rites. This track calls with intimate, calming vocal melodies and responds with smooth droning saxophone phrases which at first listen gently transported me into a state of tranquility. The accompanying animated video seamlessly complements the song's ambience, contributing to the evolving universe that began to take shape with the videos released last year for Throne & Choke.

Without a shred of doubt, this latest single is only a taste of what Colletto Bianco has in store, and I personally cannot wait to see what he does next.
