Brisbane nu-metal outfit Headwreck have signed with iconic independent label EMPIRE, becoming the first in their genre to join the roster.
The label has previously worked with artists including Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak and Shaboozey, with Headwreck describing the partnership as a natural fit built around creative freedom and long-term vision.
Alongside the announcement, the band have released their new single Raindrops, their first new music since 2025’s Attitude Adjustment which debuted at #7 on the ARIA Australian Album Chart and #9 on the Vinyl Chart, while Headwreck were also named as a triple j Unearthed Forecast Artist for 2026.
Blending glitch-heavy chaos with raw emotion, the quartet - Connor Hickman (vocals), Jamo Benadie (guitar), Dayne Paix (bass), and Colby Horton (drums) - have amassed over 3.5million streams and built a fiercely loyal fanbase through their bold, nostalgic aesthetic, exhilarating music and live performance, and strong creative vision.
Headwreck head overseas this week for an extensive EU and UK run supporting Paledusk, leading into an appearance at Download Festival and side shows with We Came As Romans and Thrown. They’ll return to Australia later this year supporting Bury Tomorrow nationally.
‘Raindrops’ is out now via EMPIRE.
