The Metro Theatre was a cauldron of metal-core mayhem, overflowing with an ecstatic crowd that couldn't wait to unleash their primal energy. As the doors swung open, anticipation surged through the venue, setting the stage for an unforgettable night of head-banging and moshing.
Kicking off the night was Sydney's own Deficit, unleashing a relentless assault on the senses. The room quickly filled up, and the band fed off the mounting excitement, delivering a bone-shaking performance that set the bar high for the rest of the evening.
Next up, Ocean Sleeper from Victoria took the stage by storm, propelling the crowd into a frenzy. With their tight-as-hell instrumentation and undeniable stage presence, these young guns had the audience screaming in unison to the crushing rhythms of Forever Sinking. It was as if they had been born for this moment, commanding the stage with the confidence and prowess of seasoned veterans.
Then came the onslaught from Fit For An Autopsy, all the way from New Jersey, USA. These guys are no strangers to Australian shores, and their experience showed as they unleashed a sonic assault that crushed the crowd into submission. Fresh off their release of the explosive 3-way split EP AGGRESSION SESSIONS with Justice For The Damned & Malevolence, they ignited the room with fan-favourite tracks like Hellions turning the venue into a seething mass of circle pits and soaring crowd surfers.
Finally, the time had come for Perth's own metal juggernauts, Make Them Suffer, to take the stage. With over a decade of relentless touring and global domination under their belt, the band was prepared to leave their mark on this adoring Sydney crowd. Lead singer Sean Harmanis expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support, making it clear that this moment was a profound honour for the band. They tore through a diverse setlist, but it was The Well and Neverbloom that incited the fiercest reactions from the pit.
Make no mistake, Make Them Suffer delivered a devastating performance. Their tight musicianship and commanding stage presence left no doubt that they were a force to be reckoned with. As the LED panels on stage pulsed with vibrant colours, adding an electrifying visual dimension to the show, the audience was transported into a realm where heaviness and melody collided in beautiful chaos.
It was a privilege to witness Make Them Suffer at this stage of their career. With each passing year, their fanbase grows, and their music evolves, propelling them to new heights. This night showcased their unwavering dedication to their craft and cemented their position as one of the most formidable acts in the metal scene. For those lucky enough to witness this unforgettable performance, it was a night that will be etched into their metal-loving souls forever.
