Returning to The Tivoli, a Brisbane venue that holds a special place in the hearts of many, felt like stepping back in time. The excitement for the return of Sunk Loto was palpable as fans gathered to relive the music of their youth.

Blue Mountains three-piece Red Bee's opening set was a heavy, yet danceable start that truly ignited the crowd. Their performance demonstrated their passion for the music, setting the tone for a great gig.

This was followed by Ocean Sleeper, who brought a charismatic presence to the stage. Their lively performance was a feast for the eyes and ears and certainly left a lasting impression on me.

Sunk Loto's performance was a blast from the past, as they flawlessly recreated their sound from two decades ago. Playing their entire album 'Between Birth and Death' from start to finish was a fitting tribute to its 20th anniversary. This experience took the crowd on a nostalgic journey, as they eagerly joined in, singing along to every word.

The debut of their latest single, 'The Gallows Wait,' struck a chord with the audience, showcasing their continued creativity and leaving a mark on the night.

Sunk Loto ensured they didn't leave any stone unturned, treating us to classics like "Vinegar Stroke," "Sunken Eyes," and "Lift" which added that perfect finishing touch to the evening.

Overall, the night was a high-spirited trip down memory lane, highlighting the power that music has to connect us with different chapters of our lives. Sunk Loto, along with Red Bee and Ocean Sleeper, provided an evening full of great music, and definitely left people feeling quite content.
