Texas Is The Reason Announce Australian East Coast Tour for May 2026

NYC post-hardcore pioneers Texas Is The Reason will return to Australia this May for a run of east coast headline shows, marking their first local dates tied to the 30th anniversary of Do You Know Who You Are?

The band will play Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, joined by Coast Arcade on all dates, with local supports varying by city.

Formed in the mid-90s, Texas Is The Reason helped define early emo and post-hardcore with a sound built on melodic urgency and emotional restraint. Their 1996 debut Do You Know Who You Are? remains one of Revelation Records’ most influential releases, shaping the direction of punk and indie for decades.

Despite disbanding in 1997, the band’s legacy has only grown, with the record now widely cited as a cornerstone of the genre. Recent reunion shows in 2025, including Riot Fest and Best Friends Forever Festival, drew strong crowds and set up this current run of international dates.
