with Pierce The Veil & Dayseeker

Review & photos by Natalie Lorenz

Saturday was a cool evening under the stars as the iconic Riverstage in Brisbane became the epicentre of an unforgettable American post-hardcore extravaganza. Beartooth, Pierce The Veil, and Dayseeker united to deliver a night of fantastic music and pure energy that left the crowd in awe.

Opening the night was Dayseeker, and they did not disappoint. Their performance was nothing short of mesmerizing. Rory Rodriguez's vocals soared through the air, captivating the audience with raw emotion. The band's tight instrumentals and compelling stage presence set the tone for an incredible night ahead.

Next up, Pierce The Veil took the stage, and the atmosphere immediately exploded with excitement. As expected, the crowd couldn't resist singing along to every word. The band's front man, Vic Fuentes, showed his gratitude by giving away one of his guitars to a lucky and thrilled fan. Their set reached its pinnacle as they closed with their massive hit "King for a Day," leaving everyone in a state of elation.

Then came the headliners, Beartooth, and they brought an energy level that was off the charts. The crowd responded with an uproar of enthusiasm as the band launched into their set with full force. With a combination of big riffs, crushing breakdowns, and Caleb Shomo's fierce vocals, Beartooth took the concert to a new level.

What made this gig even more special was the diverse audience at Riverstage. It was heart-warming to see kids sharing this experience with their parents, showing that music can truly bridge generations. Not to mention, the elder emo community in attendance brought a sense of nostalgia and unity, creating a unique bond between the fans.

In conclusion, the gig was an exceptional night filled with passion, high energy, and unforgettable moments. Definitely an experience for everyone lucky enough to be there.
