Blackwater Holylight Announce First Australian Shows for June 2026
Psych-doom outfit Blackwater Holylight will make their Australian debut this June, with headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne alongside an appearance at Hobart’s Dark Mofo.
The US band will bring their dense, melodic take on doom and shoegaze to Crowbar and the Corner Hotel, before heading to the Odeon Theatre for the Dark Mofo program. Supports for the east coast shows come from Solkyri and Treebeard.
Blackwater Holylight have released four albums since 2018, including this year’s Not Here Not Gone. Recorded at Sonic Ranch in Texas with producer Sonny Diperri, the record leans into the band’s contrast of weight and atmosphere, pairing slow, heavy riffs with more restrained, melodic vocals and synth work.
Their live reputation has grown steadily through international touring and festival appearances including Roadburn and Desertfest, often sharing stages with bands like Russian Circles and Elder.
Solkyri join as one of Australia’s most established instrumental rock exports, while Treebeard round out the bill with their blend of post-metal and shoegaze.
