The band will play headline dates in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, alongside a festival slot, bringing their six-album catalogue back to local stages.
Protomartyr have built a reputation on stark, tightly wound post-punk shaped by their Detroit roots, with frontman Joe Casey’s delivery cutting through dense, often abrasive arrangements. Their most recent work, including Formal Growth in the Desert, leans further into themes of loss and endurance, written during a period of personal upheaval for Casey.
Local supports differ by city, with Antenna and Bennetts Grove joining in Sydney, and Npcede, Twine and Craning on the Melbourne bill.
