Froth & Fury Fest 2027 unveils wave one lineup

Adelaide’s heavy festival returns to the Showground with a one-day collision of metal, punk, hardcore and darksynth.

Froth & Fury Fest has revealed its first wave for Saturday 30 January 2027 at Adelaide Showground. The one-day festival leans hard into metal, punk, hardcore and darksynth with an intentionally packed, genre-crossing bill.

Leading the announcement are Maryland riff‑kings Clutch, returning to Adelaide for the first time since Soundwave 2014, and French darksynth provocateur Carpenter Brut, who will close The Compound with a full‑on nightfall set.

Wave one also includes Australia’s Alpha Wolf, Switzerland’s Paleface Swiss, French experimentalist Igorrr, Propagandhi, Counterparts, Corrosion of Conformity, Death To All, Dark Angel, 28 Days, Truth Corroded, The Berzerker, Fox Lake, Sierra Veins, Wayside, Ratsalad and local favourites Raccoon City — with more acts to come.

Notable returns: Truth Corroded play their first show in seven years and The Berzerker are back on stage after 17 years. Death To All celebrate the legacy of Death, while Carpenter Brut shifts the festival into a darker, electronic night set.

Froth & Fury is also launching two new development streams for South Australian artists. New Breed targets 10–18 year olds for cash and professional support; Path to Fury is a battle‑of‑the‑bands series offering main stage opening slots. Applications open in August and the initiative is backed by CreateSA/MDO, Carclew, Northern Sound System and ARMI.

The festival remains all‑ages and licensed. The site will expand its live‑action artists, tattoo parlour, markets and food trucks alongside the music.
