New York hardcore veterans Madball have announced their tenth studio album Not Your Kingdom, due out July 24 via Nuclear Blast, alongside the release of new single Rebel Kids.

The track leans into the band’s classic groove-heavy NYHC sound while lyrically reflecting on a newer generation coming through hardcore. According to vocalist Freddy Cricien, Rebel Kids was the first song written for the record and helped shape the direction of the album that followed.

Not Your Kingdom is described as one of Madball’s more personal releases, with Cricien focusing heavily on the current state of the world and the broader human condition. The album was recorded at The Boneyard Studios in Nashville, with mixing and mastering handled by Lee Rouse.

More than three decades into their career, Madball remain one of hardcore’s defining acts, continuing to bridge older New York hardcore roots with contemporary heavy music without losing the rawness that built their reputation.

Rebel Kids is out now.

Not Your Kingdom arrives July 24 via Nuclear Blast.
